Before selecting a forum, assemble the complete contractual chain, jurisdiction and arbitration clauses, invoices or performance records, notices and a dated statement of the dispute. The claimed value and relief should be supported by documents, not only a narrative estimate.
Review should identify whether the dispute is suited to arbitration, a commercial court, the Original Side or another competent forum, and whether pre-institution steps apply. If interim relief is considered, preserve evidence of the threatened act, urgency and practical relief required.
